Trying to Write with a Needy Dog
I can't get anything done! This dog of mine is always in my face, giving me kisses. Completely distracting having him around while you try to get anything done. And at the same time, he's my best friend and always brightens my day.
This is my Golden Retriever, Cosmo. He's just about 2 years old, and he has been my shadow since I brought him home.
The poor guy though is scared of pretty well everything. Cosmo is not a small dog. If he decided that he wasn't going to back down and be aggressive, it would be a scary sight. Hard to imagine to be honest, since he is not an aggressive dog at all.
When the little man gets scared, he usually will have to go to either myself or my wife to get lots of cuddles until he decides that it is now safe, and he will lay down or go bug my other little dog — Minion.
The thing with the cuddles is that Cosmo is well…. massive.
He is not a lap dog.
Cosmo thinks otherwise.
Once upon a time, Cosmo was small. When I brought him home, he was a little ball of floof that was about the size of a basketball. Now he's larger than a medicine ball.
