Anthony Morley was a chef known for his violent behavior when drunk and had a history of aggressive actions. He had once attacked a former boyfriend with a meat cleaver and threatened ambulance staff with an air rifle. Once he told a man that he could kill him with his bare hands.

He was unsure if he was gay, straight, or bisexual and this frustration was said to have contributed to the “cold-blooded, savagely executed murder” of 33-year-old Damien Oldfield in Morley’s bedroom in April 2008.

Growing up in Leeds, Morley had aspirations of becoming a dancer and in 1993, he won the first Mr. Gay UK competition, receiving the title, £1,000, and a trip to Gran Canaria.

However, Morley claimed he was not gay when he won the contest and had a girlfriend at the time. He admitted to “experimenting” with relationships with men, including an older man when he was a teenager.

After winning the competition, Morley moved to London to pursue a career in modeling and dance, using the opportunities provided by his win. Upon his return to Leeds, he trained as a chef and…
