In July, 1995, Arroyo Grande, California. 15-year-old Elyse Pahler goes missing from her home. It was uncertain at the time what had ultimately happened to Elyse, but she was considered a missing person.

It wasn't till 8 months later, that a man named Royce Casey turned himself into the police, telling a shocking story about missing Elyse. He said that she was dead, and was killed by 3 people, and he was one of them.

His conscience drove Royce to confess his part in her murder, and he lead police to a eucalyptus grove where the body of Elyse was found.

With Royce’s help, the police were able to finally determine what had happened to Elyse.

She was lured to a Nipomo Mesa eucalyptus grove by three of her teenage classmates, Jacob Delashmutt, Joseph Fiorella, and Royce Casey, aged 14, 15, and 16, performing a “satanic ritual.”

With the promise of drugs, Elyse entered the grove with the boys.
