From the 1920s to the end of the 1940s, Lila Gladys Young and her husband William ran the “ideal” racket. Selling babies. Running “Ideal Maternity and Sanitorium,” the duo arranged illegal adoptions for people in Canada and United States. — Lila married her husband William at the age of 26, and by 29, in 1928, she graduated from the National School of Obstetrics and Midwifery. William was an unordained Seventh Day Adventist minister and missionary.
